Show & Tell for the July Meeting @ Golden Corral
Some great radios were shown this evening.
We had a record number of ‘demos’ this month:
Aries demos a radio with built in bar.
Reed demos his new design for a low power broadcast transmitter
using 2 transistors in a series modulation design.
Ben demos his design for a ‘modified sine wave generator’
to create 400 cycle power for aircraft radios.
Mark demos his digital countdown clock.
Should be fun at an airport security check !
Jim demos the electron ray tube,
also called a tuning eye or cat’s eye tube.
In this application, it was used for a ‘modulation monitor’.
Also, how the eye tube works with the AGC (AVC) was shown.
